Currency market started on October 7, 2008 under the regulatory framework of Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

MCX’SX (Multi commodity Exchange Stock Exchange)
NSE (National Stock Exchange)

1) USD INR, 2) JPY INR, 3) EUR INR, 4) GBP INR

Contract Specifications

USD = 1 (1 unit denotes 1000 USD) or 1 contract/ lot
JPY = 1 ( 1 unit denotes 1000000 YEN)
EUR = 1 ( 1 unit denotes 1000 EUR)
GBP = 1 ( 1 unit denotes 1000 GBP)
Tick Size = 0.25 paisa or INR 0.0025

Minimum Amount required for Currency Trading

E.g. USDINR current Market Price is Rs 65.25. 1 unit =1000$ x 65.25= Rs 65,250 which is actual cost of 1contract, but trader has to pay only Rs 4000 i.e. called Margin Money for currency trading. Currency Market requires lowest Margin Money as compared to other Markets.
